Shoe flower

The Hibiscus ! The most common shrub to be seen in and around Kerala. Though the flower comes in different colors , red one remains to be my favourite.  This flower brings me back some good old memories, from being the main flower to be used during Onam pookkalam to the medicinal values that the shrub gives. I clearly remember plucking these flowers to learn the cross section. From making diagrams to rubbing them on the paper which would give a blue tone.
